You Don't Know Your Limits

The experience lasted 45 hours. Very little food. Very little sleep.

There were plenty of moments where quitting sounded like a fantastic idea.

But quitting wasn’t an option.

When I got home, people kept asking me what I learned.

The answer surprised me.

I learned that most of us do not actually know where our limits are.

We think we do.

But what we usually know is where our comfort zone ends.

Those are not the same thing.

There were multiple moments when I was convinced I could not keep going. Then I did.

Not because I suddenly became tougher.

Because I discovered I was not at my limit yet.

And that lesson has a lot more to do with business than survival.

Most brokers do not stop because something is impossible.

They stop because it is uncomfortable.

Making the call.

Following up again.

Asking for the referral.

Creating content.

Having the difficult conversation.

Hiring the person.

Leading the team.

Growing your business often requires doing things that feel uncomfortable long before they become impossible.

And if we are not careful, we start treating discomfort like it is a stop sign.

That is usually the mistake.

This week, ask yourself one question:

What am I avoiding because it is uncomfortable, not because it is impossible?

Write down the first thing that comes to mind.

Then take one small step toward it.

One call. One email. One conversation. One decision.

Most growth opportunities are disguised as uncomfortable situations.

And most of us are capable of more than we think.

We just have not tested the boundary yet.
