Is now a bad time to talk?

On a recent Mortgage Mindset call, we talked about a small shift that can make a big difference.
Instead of asking, “Do you have a few minutes?”
Try asking, “Is now a bad time to talk?”
It lowers resistance.
It gives the other person control.
And it changes the tone of the conversation right away.
We talked about a few other examples too.
Instead of, “Do you have any questions?”
Ask, “What questions do you have for me?”
Instead of, “Can I have your number?”
Ask, “What’s the best number to reach you?”
Instead of, “Let me know what you think.”
Ask, “How would you like to move forward?”
Here is the bigger idea.
One phrase.
One question.
One small shift.
Most brokers are using the same language, the same patterns, and the same approach. You do not notice it until you hear someone say it differently.
That is why being around other brokers matters.
You pick up ideas you would not have come up with on your own.
If you want to be in a room where ideas like this get shared and sharpened, get your ticket to Broker Talks.
