We are on a quest to transform the mortgage industry.
We believe there needs to be more transparency, which is one reason why we decided to share a monthly report on what we have learned, what worked and what didn’t, and what’s next in our plans to grow a Billion Dollar Brokerage.
We hope you find a few useful ideas and tidbits to help you in growing your mortgage business.

We Just Broke $2 Billion In Volume
In August we hit the $2,105,092,150 milestone in total volume. This total is since we launched on August 1, 2021.
I believe this is an amazing achievement given the challenges the mortgage industry has faced over the past couple of years.
August was our second highest month for files and volume, being only slightly lower than July of this year.
Bi-Weekly Office Hours
Coaching agents has always been one of my favourite activities. I hired my first business coach nine years ago, and it literally changed my life. Since then, I have been a huge believer in coaching.
While a coach might not have all the answers, a good coach offers something even more valuable—perspective.
One of my coaches explained it to me this way. He said, “You can’t read the jar label from the inside.”
Meaning, when you are stuck in the jar, you can’t see beyond your current situation.
I am sure you can validate this in your life. You probably have a friend or family member who is having a problem, and while the solution is so obvious to you, they are unable to see it.
They are so emotionally attached to the outcome that their perspective is limited.
They are stuck inside the jar.
A good coach can see things you miss, and by really listening and asking good questions, can help you uncover them for yourself. A good coach will also do this in a way that doesn’t make you defensive, or make it all about them.
At least, that’s how I define a good coach.
I have occasionally done one-on-one coaching sessions with some of our Pro agents, and I love those discussions.
However, I have noticed that many of the issues and challenges that are brought up are very similar.
It feels a bit like Groundhog Day. :)
When I mentioned this to Denise, she suggested that I establish office hours, similar to what she has been doing.
What are office hours?
Every second Tuesday, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm EST, any of our BRX agents can enter an unrecorded Zoom room, to ask me questions or discuss anything they like.
Other agents can listen in and take notes on the discussion, and then apply anything that makes sense for them.
The goal is to provide perspective to our agents so they can improve their business, and ultimately, their revenue per hour. Check out this blog post on our mission.
Simply visit our Virtual HQ at GoBRX.com.
Thanks, Denise, for seeing the obvious solution to this.
